Responsibilities

Provide loving, attentive care for infants.
Support early development through age-appropriate activities for infants.
Follow individual feeding, diapering, sleeping, and care routines for infants.
Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom for infants.
Encourage exploration, independence, and early language development in toddlers.
Plan engaging activities that support social, emotional, and physical growth for toddlers.
Help toddlers develop positive routines and relationships.
Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment for toddlers.
Implement engaging, age-appropriate learning activities for preschoolers.
Support early literacy, mathematics, science, creativity, and social skills for preschoolers.
Prepare children for kindergarten through purposeful play and instruction.
Observe children's progress and communicate with families.
Assist in infant, toddler, preschool, and other classrooms as assigned (Floating Teacher).
Provide classroom coverage and support teachers throughout the center (Floating Teacher).
Help maintain consistent supervision, safety, and classroom routines (Floating Teacher).
Adapt to different age groups and classroom needs (Floating Teacher).
Support daily activities, transitions, and classroom preparation (Floating Teacher).
Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive environment.
Supervise children and maintain active awareness of their safety.
Support children's learning and development.
Follow curriculum plans and center procedures.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and coworkers.
Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization.
Complete required documentation and participate in training.
Follow Pennsylvania childcare regulations and center policies.
Work collaboratively with the director and teaching team.
