Early Childhood Substitute Teacher - Up to $190 daily
About The Position
Kokua is seeking passionate individuals to become early childhood substitute teachers for 3-4 year olds in Washington D.C. This role offers the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn up to $190 per day, and make a significant impact on young students' lives. We are currently accepting applications for the 2026-27 school year, and the interview process can begin immediately. Requirements
- Experience working with children 3-4 years old.
- An Associate's degree or 60+ credit hours.
- Confidence in managing a classroom of students.
- Completion of required employment history review and SSOA training, in compliance with D.C. law.
- Willingness to step in where needed (lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, proctoring).
- Pass state & federal background checks.
- Belief that every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world.

- Preference given to candidates willing to accept morning-of assignments.
Responsibilities
- Manage a classroom of students.
