Under general supervision, provides professional speech, language and hearing services to students in assigned Tribal program(s). This role involves screening, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication-based disorders and/or delays in young children. Services include individual therapy, small group therapy, co-treats with support staff, and utilizing speech and language curriculum including literacy. The position requires using appropriate treatment methods for various communication disorders and developing alternative communication means, including the Muckleshoot Language. Responsibilities also include conducting screenings, making referrals, maintaining records, conducting training for staff, assisting in budget preparation, preparing reports and documentation, and participating in meetings such as MDT, IFSP, and IEP. The role may also involve a wide range of office and field duties as needed for community service.
