About The Position

AnthroMed Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join an early childhood team in Melvindale, MI for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time opportunity offers the chance to support Pre-K and Kindergarten students as they develop foundational communication skills that will support their academic and social success. In this role, you'll work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, and families to provide speech-language services tailored to the unique developmental needs of young learners. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Michigan Department of Education certification or eligibility preferred
  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience is a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Passion for supporting young learners and helping them build strong communication skills
  • Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for Pre-K and Kindergarten students with a variety of communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals and educational objectives
  • Provide engaging individual and small-group therapy sessions using evidence-based, developmentally appropriate intervention strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support communication skills across classroom and school environments
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing clinical recommendations and progress updates
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
  • Support students with articulation, expressive and receptive language, social communication, AAC, and other speech-language needs
  • Foster a positive, nurturing therapy environment that encourages participation, confidence, and communication growth
  • Partner with school staff to ensure continuity of services and successful student outcomes
