About The Position

The Early Childhood Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to young children with disabilities. This role involves developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), collaborating with families and other professionals, and creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. The teacher will assess student progress, adapt curriculum to meet diverse needs, and promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in accordance with district and state guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid state teaching license with an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education.
  • Knowledge of child development and special education principles.
  • Experience working with young children with disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs.
  • Proficiency in assessment and data collection.
  • Completion of a three (3) year work history in the application, including periods of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education.
  • Experience with specific disabilities common in early childhood.
  • Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish).

Responsibilities
