About The Position

Bach To Rock is seeking a part-time Early Childhood Small Group Class Instructor to provide music and performance lessons to students ages 1–7. Instructors use the Bach to Rock curriculum and cover-song arrangements to teach music theory and technique in small-group classes, helping students develop musicianship and enjoy performing, recording, and composing.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule in a fun environment with other musicians. The school handles marketing, scheduling, booking, billing, and other business operations so instructors can focus on teaching. Compensation begins at $18 per hour, with the rate based on education, experience, expertise, and availability; pay is reviewed over time based on performance. The instructor may be offered additional opportunities at the school depending on their skills. This franchise location is locally owned and operated by CR Music, LLC, an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements

• Demonstrate an understanding of music concepts and communicate them effectively to students.
• Have effective time-management and organizational skills to keep students on task during lessons.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities.
• Be an experienced solo or group performer.
• Have experience working with youth and/or beginning musicians.
• Be able to interact effectively with children and adults.
• Be able to pass a background check.
• Be available at least three days per week, especially Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, though availability is flexible.
• Not teach at another music lessons facility within five miles of the location.

Responsibilities

• Teach early childhood group classes using the Bach to Rock curriculum and cover-song arrangements in small class sizes.
• Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere.
• Communicate with parents and caregivers as needed.
• Potentially take on additional opportunities at the school depending on skills.
