About The Position

Bach To Rock is seeking a part-time Early Childhood Small Group Class Instructor to provide music and performance lessons to students ages 1–7. Instructors use the Bach to Rock curriculum and familiar song arrangements to teach music theory and technique, creating an inspiring and well-balanced music education. Students are encouraged to perform, record in the studio, and compose original music.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule in a fun environment with other musicians. Bach to Rock handles marketing, scheduling, booking, billing, and other business aspects so instructors can focus on teaching. Compensation begins at $18 per hour and is based on education, experience, expertise, and availability; pay is reviewed over time based on performance. The franchise location is locally owned and operated by CR Music, LLC, an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements

• Demonstrate understanding of music concepts and communicate them effectively to students.
• Have effective time-management and organizational skills to keep students on task during lessons.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities.
• Be an experienced performer, either solo or in a group.
• Have experience working with youth and/or beginning musicians.
• Be able to interact effectively with children and adults.
• Pass a background check.
• Be able to offer at least three days per week; Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday are especially desired, though scheduling is flexible.
• Must not teach at another music lessons facility within five miles of the location.

Responsibilities

• Teach early childhood group classes using the Bach to Rock curriculum and cover song arrangements in small class sizes.
• Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere.
• Communicate with parents and caregivers as needed.
• May take on additional opportunities at the school depending on skills.
