About The Position

Musicologie Junior is a play-based early childhood music program designed to nurture creativity, connection, and a lifelong love of music. The teacher will launch and lead the program's location in Alpharetta, teaching interactive classes for children ages 0–5 and their grown-ups. The company provides research-backed lessons and sheet music, along with paid training and mentorship; curriculum planning is not required.

Classes are scheduled on weekday mornings at 11:00 and evenings at 6:00, and on Saturdays at 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Pay is competitive and based on experience. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

• Strong musicianship and vocal ability.
• Reliable, warm, organized, and enthusiastic demeanor.
• Natural communication skills with children and parents.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to accompany on guitar, ukulele, or piano.
• Experience with early childhood or group teaching, or enthusiasm for learning.
• A degree in music or early childhood education.
• Experience performing, leading groups, or working in creative environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead 40-minute interactive music classes for children ages 0–5 and their grown-ups.
• Learn and teach notated songs each week using provided sheet music.
• Sing, move, dance, and play simple instruments.
• Create a warm, inclusive, and playful environment for every family.
• Build community through classes and events in support of the program's vision of music for every child.
