Homeless Children’s Network (HCN) is seeking an Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant (ECMH Consultant) to join their team. This full-time position focuses on providing early intervention and mental health support to children, youth, and families experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or intergenerational poverty. HCN utilizes a mobile therapeutic model and works collaboratively with over 60 service agencies. The ECMH Program pairs culturally competent consultants with vulnerable communities to support infants and young children in settings like childcare centers, shelters, and family resource centers. Consultants use a relationship-focused, equitable, and trauma-informed approach to build adults' capacity to support children's social and emotional development. The role involves direct work with agency staff, offering support, feedback, and advice on implementing effective programs for healthy child development. Services include consultation to parents, referrals, parent education, therapeutic intervention, training for providers, program consultation, and child observation.
