About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Learning Teacher Assistant to join their team at Town of Webb Union School for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt position involves working approximately 25–30 hours per week, scheduled within center hours of 6:30 AM–6:30 PM. The Teacher Assistant will work alongside the early childhood team to create a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 10 months through 3 years old. Responsibilities include supporting classroom activities, daily routines, learning experiences, and positive interactions to help young children learn, grow, and thrive. A unique benefit of this role is the option for eligible school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in Healthy Kids Programs to receive employer-paid childcare during the days and hours the employee works.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the School-Age Childcare Lead to facilitate hands-on activities aligned with the Creative Curriculum, tailored to the unique needs and interests of the children.
• Maintaining regular communication with parents and family members through the Playground App, ensuring transparency and engagement in their child's daily experiences.
• Cultivating positive adult-child interactions utilizing the CLASS method, fostering an environment where every child feels valued and supported.
• Supporting the education, health, welfare, and safety of classroom members and the entire center community by adhering to ECERS/ITERS standards and protocols.
