About The Position

We currently have over 150 childcares across Canada & USA and are constantly expanding; come and grow within the company! We are currently looking to fill a 14-month contract at our Beltline Kids & Company location!

Requirements

• ECE certified (Level 2 or 3)
• Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
• Valid Standard Child Care First Aid and CPR Level B
• Ability to push, pull and lift up- to 45 pounds
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, parents and co-workers.
• Ability to utilize computer systems for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations
• Strong collaborator and team player
• Ability to take initiative in and out of the classroom
• Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation, reporting and record keeping
• Implement an Emergent Curriculum
• Support children’s emotional, physical, or behavioural well being; while helping to develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills
• Maintain attendance, and health and safety checks
• Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as necessary
• Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms
• Meet all classroom ratios
• Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops
