Join Our Team as an Early Childhood Educator Assistant!
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families? BGC Okanagan is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our early years program at Ellison Elementary Club in Vernon. In this role, you’ll work alongside an Early Childhood Educator to provide care and engaging early learning experiences for children aged 3 to 5.

Requirements

• Early Childhood Assistant Certification is required
• Current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain
• Successful completion of Agency screening process, including a criminal record check
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered for employment. Eligible applicants include Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and individuals with refugee status who are legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of programs and activities that are consistent with agency core values and core programming areas.
• Ensure that programs develop, engage members, address healthy positive child development and provide members with a sense of belonging.
• Provide a nurturing, fun and safe environment for children
• Establish positive relationships and open communication with parents/guardians
• Ensure that specific goals of the children and programs are met
• Attends to children’s physical needs, which may include diapering, toileting, eating and sleeping.
• Keep program facilities and equipment safe and clean, reporting any repairs and concerns to senior staff.
