Early Childhood Education Apprentice
About The Position
Join us as we grow our Montessori preschool community on Lana’i. We are conducting a search for exceptional candidates to join our Apprenticeship Program where we train the next generation of early childhood educators, assistants, and Montessori guides. Through a combination of college-level coursework and paid on-the-job observation and practice, program participants are mentored to develop skills and experience to launch a rewarding career. Through your efforts, in tandem with a lead teacher, children fulfill their developmental potential with authentically prepared, exceptionally executed Montessori. We prefer local candidates with strong appreciation for, and understanding of, Hawaiian language, culture, history, and traditions. Experience teaching in Montessori schools or training in the Montessori method is not required; training will be provided. Successful candidates are eligible for relocation, housing, and travel benefits.
Requirements
- Are warm, joyful, and peaceful
- Are experienced working with children aged 18 months - 6 years old
- Have earned a high school diploma
- Are a US citizen or green cardholder
- Are available to join our community in summer 2026
