About The Position
The Bennett Family Center is seeking an Early Childhood Development Educator -Pre-K Counts committed to the process of creating and providing high quality learning environments for children and families. Assignment will be in a preschool classroom.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 1+ years of relevant experience
- PA State Police Criminal Background Check
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
- Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
- National Sex Offender Registry Clearance (NSOR)
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- Previous work experience using the Environmental Rating Scale (ERS)
- Previous work experience using Positive Behavior Support (PBS)
- Previous work experience using PA Early Learning Standards (ELS)
- PA Early Childhood Education Teaching Certification
Responsibilities
- Supporting and maintaining high quality classroom standards in a mixed age setting
- Coordinating and implementing an innovative curriculum model with a team of colleagues
- Establishing and maintaining relationships of cooperation and respect with all co-workers, supervisors, and families
- Providing oversight and training of interns and student teachers in early childhood education undergraduate programs
- Maintaining standards in accordance with Pre-K Counts, National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation and PA Keystone STARS 4 quality standards
