About The Position

Belvedere Trading is a leading proprietary trading firm headquartered in downtown Chicago. Our traders provide market liquidity through market-making activities across commodities, interest rates, ETFs, and equity index options. We invest in proprietary technology and build our systems from the ground up, continuously re-engineering and optimizing them. We are looking for an Early Career Talent Partner to manage hiring for our Trading Department, building a pipeline of quantitative traders and trading-adjacent talent. This role will attract and hire high-potential colleagues, develop relationships with student groups and academic programs, and build our employer brand. You will partner with Trading leadership, drive hiring, and lead best practices in trading talent acquisition for interns, graduates, and early-career professionals.

Requirements

2+ years recruitment experience, preferably with intern, entry-level and early career talent pools in fintech, professional services, and financial firms.
Ability to manage full-cycle recruiting process including resume review, phone screens, interview scheduling and facilitation, and offer calls.
Demonstrated success recruiting at multiple universities in highly competitive markets, ideally within quantitative trading, prop trading, or finance.
Comfort engaging with quantitative and markets-adjacent concepts (probability, statistics, game theory) enough to speak credibly to trading competition organizers, quant faculty, and student trading groups.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to travel as needed during peak campus recruiting periods in the fall and spring, including to trading competitions and conferences.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/projects, meet deadlines, and facilitate change with a sense of urgency.
Proven analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills with demonstrated negotiation skills and influencing positive outcomes.
Eager to take on new tasks/responsibilities and passion for candidate experience, operational excellence, and continuous development.
Experience coordinating and participating in both in-person and virtual recruiting events/activities.
Comfortable working with and presenting recruitment data and market data, reporting, and analytics.
Bachelor's Degree required.

Responsibilities

Execute the early career recruitment strategy for the Trading Department and influence future campus recruiting cycles, including undergraduate and graduate-student recruitment.
Represent Belvedere at collegiate trading competitions, poker tournaments, and industry networking events using these events as a primary sourcing and brand-building channel for quant trading talent.
Foster and maintain relationships with campus trading groups, investment clubs, and quant/finance student organizations, positioning Belvedere as a destination employer within those communities.
Build and deepen pipelines with academic programs that feed directly into our industry (such as financial mathematics, financial engineering, quantitative/quant research, applied math, and statistics programs) including faculty, program-director relationships, and alumni groups.
Full-cycle campus recruiting for Trading roles: managing a high-volume candidate pipeline from initial application through Super Day and offer stage, in partnership with our People Operations team on engagement and onboarding, including candidates with extended non-compete periods.
Partner with Trading hiring managers to understand evolving skill and market needs (quantitative reasoning, probability, market intuition) and translate them into sourcing strategy and candidate evaluation criteria.
Represent Belvedere during campus visits and virtual open houses, presenting our internship programs and early trading talent development paths.
Retroactively analyze engagement efforts to understand the return on strategic partnerships (competitions, clubs, academic programs) and the success of new engagements, out of the box engagement ideas area embraced.
Provide a high-touch candidate and hiring manager experience by articulating our core values in ways that resonate with a quantitative, trading-focused candidate pool.
Evaluate and measure recruiting results and identify areas for process and performance improvement, systematization, and automation.
