The People Team department is dedicated to delivering employee-first solutions, understanding team member needs, leveraging data, and advancing human-capital applications. This team comprises Employee Experience, People Operations, Talent, and People & Development, all working collaboratively to attract top talent and ensure team members have the necessary tools for success and development. This role focuses on university and early career hiring, specifically for the Technology & Platform team. The goal is to build a pipeline of engineers who will develop and scale the company's trading systems. The Early Career Talent Partner will be responsible for attracting and hiring high-potential individuals, building relationships with technical student groups, and establishing a strong employer brand within college communities that produce top engineering talent. The position requires strategic partnership with Technology & Platform leadership to drive hiring and implement best practices in technical talent acquisition.

Requirements

2+ years recruitment experience, preferably with intern, entry-level and early career talent pools in fintech, big tech, and financial firms.
Ability to manage full-cycle recruiting process including resume review, phone screens, interview scheduling and facilitation, and offer calls.
Demonstrated success recruiting at multiple universities in highly competitive markets, ideally within software engineering or technical early-career talent.
Comfort engaging with technical concepts and evaluating engineering skill signals (enough to speak credibly to hackathon organizers, CS faculty, and student developer groups, and to partner effectively with engineers on assessment design).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to travel as needed during peak campus recruiting periods in the fall and spring, including to hackathons and technical career events.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/projects, meet deadlines, and facilitate change with a sense of urgency.
Proven analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills with demonstrated negotiation skills and influencing positive outcomes.
Eager to take on new tasks/responsibilities and passion for candidate experience, operational excellence, and continuous development.
Experience coordinating and participating in both in-person and virtual recruiting events/activities.
Comfortable working with and presenting recruitment data and market data, reporting, and analytics.
Bachelor's Degree required.

Responsibilities

Execute the campus recruitment strategy for the Technology & Platform team and influence future intern, campus, and early career recruiting cycles, including undergraduate and graduate-student recruitment.
Sponsor, attend, and support hackathons using them as a primary sourcing and brand-building channel to identify strong engineers early and build Belvedere's reputation in the community.
Own and continually sharpen our technical assessment process: partner with engineering leaders to build, run, and iterate on coding challenges and technical interviews that hold up as candidates' coursework and skill level advance.
Evaluate technical skill as students progress through their coursework, with a specific eye toward identifying engineers who can genuinely elevate how we code and assessing real problem-solving and coding ability rather than output that leans heavily on AI-assisted tools.
Foster and maintain relationships with computer science and engineering departments, coding clubs, and open-source/dev student organizations, positioning Belvedere as a destination employer within those communities.
Full-cycle campus recruiting for Technology & Platform roles: managing a high-volume candidate pipeline from initial application through technical assessment and offer stage, in partnership with our People Operations team on engagement and onboarding.
Partner with Technology & Platform hiring managers to understand evolving stack and skill needs and translate them into sourcing strategy and candidate evaluation criteria.
Represent Belvedere during campus visits and virtual open houses, presenting our internship programs and early engineering talent development paths.
Elevate diversity recruiting efforts by partnering with colleges/universities, student organizations, and technical events.
Retroactively analyze engagement efforts to understand the return on strategic partnerships (hackathons, clubs, academic programs) and the success of new engagements.
Provide a high-touch candidate and hiring manager experience by articulating our core values in ways that resonate with a technical, engineering-focused candidate pool.
Evaluate and measure campus recruiting results and identify areas for process and performance improvement, systematization, and automation.
