About The Position

This is a 9-week Summer Internship Program starting in June 2027, offering driven students the chance to dive into the fast-paced world of investments, learn from industry professionals, and build lasting connections. The program provides hands-on experience, one-on-one mentorship, and insight into working at a global investment firm. Interns will participate in various initiatives including orientation, networking events, development workshops, and volunteer activities, working alongside talented teams to learn about the business. Successful interns may be eligible for a full-time offer to join Invesco's Early Career Program after graduation. Candidates will be considered for placement on either the Credit or Equity team within Invesco Real Estate. The Credit business provides financing solutions for commercial real estate investments, focusing on income generation through disciplined underwriting and risk management. The Equity business invests directly in commercial real estate properties across various sectors, aiming to create value through active management and strategic investment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and be a rising Junior graduating by summer of 2028
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • All majors are welcomed with an emphasis on Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Stats, Economics, or Business-related field
  • Strong leadership, initiative, and interpersonal skills; ambitious and creative demeanor
  • Strong analytical/quantitative and technical abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in Invesco’s Los Angeles office
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis.

  • Relocation and housing will not be included if an offer is extended.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated curiosity about finance, economics, and capital markets
  • Prior internship in real estate investment management is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with Argus Enterprise is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Gain exposure to all of Invesco Real Estate’s business lines and multiple asset classes
  • Receive training on all facets of the business, develop professional skills, and network across the organization and industry
  • Work on deals and transactions alongside professionals driving the success of IRE’s business, client relationships, and industry footprint
  • Participate in internal and external client meetings, the negotiation of contracts and other agreements, and due diligence meetings
  • Assist with preparing and updating property and portfolio level financial models in Excel and/or Argus for existing and prospective investments, including sensitivity analysis
  • Support the preparation of written analysis and evaluations of investment opportunities
  • Complete real-world cash studies and lead an end-of-summer capstone project
