About The Position

Gainwell Technologies is seeking an Early Career C/Unix Developer to contribute to technology solutions that help clients improve the health and well-being of the communities they serve. The role supports basic software development and maintenance, including coding, testing, debugging, implementation, documentation, data analysis, and production support. The position is onsite at Gainwell’s Tucker, Georgia office. Video cameras are required during interviews and the initial week of orientation.

Requirements

At least 2 years of programming experience.
Experience working in a student employment program or related experience.
Experience with relevant programming languages, operating systems, and software, such as C, SQL, Unix, and/or Linux.
Experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software.

Responsibilities

Code, test, debug, implement, and document basic programs.
Assist with modifying company products and customer or internal systems to meet client and end-user needs.
Assist in researching and analyzing existing systems and program requirements, and prepare documentation for changes to existing programs.
Perform data analysis to support internal and external project needs.
Design basic programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.
Write specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.
Assist in resolving routine production support problems.
Support unit testing by preparing test data, running tests, and evaluating results.
Develop screen tests, debug problems, and develop test plans to verify the logic of new or modified programs.
Create basic documentation for work assignments, such as program code.
Conduct routine quality assurance activities, including peer reviews.
Research industry technical trends and developments to maintain current skills and knowledge of industry standards.
