The EAP Counselor will conduct assessments with EAP clients, formulate appropriate counseling goals, and perform counseling or referrals to meet the client's needs. This role provides short-term counseling for clients not needing extensive treatment from an outside source and follows up with clients to evaluate the continuity and effectiveness of outside services if referred. The counselor will serve as a liaison between the client and their employer, HR department, and/or outside referrals for mandatory referrals or clients referred for drug positives. Additionally, the position involves providing a broad range of presentations to assist employees, offering orientations to employees and management, and providing consultation services to management/leadership. Full-time or part-time counselors will act as account managers for external contracts and participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours emergency coverage. The role requires recognizing and responding to emergency situations effectively, assisting with marketing, sales, data collection, record keeping, protocol development, and program development. General office duties and participation in various committees and task forces are also expected.
