About The Position

The EAP Coordinator helps clients with the Program to prevent problems at the workplace and maintain their productivity. They sell the service to companies in need, provide orientation, and help clients manage their situations. The EAP Manager performs many responsibilities to ensure the effective operation of the program, including hiring and training staff, providing supervision, obtaining new contracts, making employee utilization reports, and performing educational seminars. They act as a liaison between management and labor relations professionals, requiring excellent management skills and the ability to interact well with labor relations. The role may involve responding to crisis situations, attending planning meetings, and adhering to facility standards. Responsibilities also include increasing and being accountable for Business EAP growth, obeying patient confidentiality laws like HIPAA, and executing other assigned functions by Administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Behavioral health area
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a health care business development/marketing environment with measurable business development results
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate data from statistical reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and co-workers, and referral sources.
  • Knowledge of computers and software programs.
  • Demonstrate above average problem solving skills.
  • Ability and able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Able to carry a beeper and/or cellular phone.

Responsibilities

  • Hire and train staff of the department.
  • Provide staff supervision.
  • Obtain new contracts.
  • Makes employees utilization reports by case.
  • Performs educational seminars for employees and clients.
  • Act as liaison between management and labor relations professionals.
  • Respond in crisis situations.
  • Attend in-house planning and development committee meetings as requested.
  • Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance and punctuality.
  • Promote the team concept within the facility.
  • Prepares reports for clients and Hospital Administration as required.
  • Responsible for increasing Business EAP accounts.
  • Accountable for Business EAP growth.
  • Obey any Law of the patient confidentiality as HIPAA.
  • Make sure to execute any other important function that is assigned the Administration.
