About The Position

The Eagle Patrol Supervisor will assist in the coordination of the Eagle Patrol Program, including the daily monitoring of student assistants. Responsibilities include patrolling and protecting the campus community from hazards, assisting in the enforcement of campus rules, reporting hazardous conditions, checking and securing campus facilities, responding to alarms, and providing general information and service to the public. This role involves patrolling campus buildings, facilities, parking lots, and grounds; unlocking and securing buildings; providing escorts; supervising Eagle Patrol Student Assistants, including scheduling and setting an example; and assisting other personnel as needed. The incumbent will also provide statistical data related to the duties performed by Eagle Patrol personnel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to six months of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, the operation of applicable public safety equipment and systems, including security and alarm activation/deactivation systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer-based applications.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate incident reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse campus community.
  • Ability to observe, assess, and respond appropriately to potential safety, security, or emergency situations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, visitors, and the campus community.
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize department-specific systems and technology.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, work independently under general supervision, and provide courteous and professional customer service.
  • Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
  • Demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment.
  • Must reside in the State of California.
  • Must comply with the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities
