About The Position

The Eagle Care Student Assistant provides support to the Eagle Care Director in the after and before school care program for students in grades Preschool-8th. This role requires a Christian with an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ, a love for children, and the ability to work effectively with them. A cheerful, kind, nurturing spirit with sound judgment, flexibility, and a proactive attitude is essential. The assistant must be a team player and follow set procedures for student care, safety, and communication.

Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to work with children and adults.
• Clear verbal communication skills.
• Excellent work ethic.
• Must be a Christian with an authentic and mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Must have a calling and commitment to Christian education.
• Must have a love for children and the ability to work effectively with individual children as well as small and large groups.
• Must possess a cheerful, kind, nurturing spirit with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
• Must be a team player who is flexible and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time to set up for the day’s activities.
• Follow set procedures to check in and check out children.
• Follow procedures to monitor students in the hallway, playground, gymnasium, or other facilities.
• Be vigilant in watching for safety issues.
• Actively use the walkie-talkie provided to alert other workers to any issues and respond to calls for students when parents arrive.
• Build relationships with students.
• Facilitate games and activities indoors and outdoors as required.
• Aid in daily cleanup.
• Respond appropriately to parents.
