About The Position

The E-Production Specialist I visually inspects manufactured sheets or units for defects, then packs and labels products according to customer specifications. The role follows work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure orders are completed correctly, verifies packaging materials and documentation, and helps maintain a clean workstation. The position is entry level and based at Excel Scientific in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent training and/or experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Ability to follow detailed but simple written or oral instructions using common-sense understanding.
• Ability to address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measure using whole numbers and common diagram forms.
• Basic understanding of quality methods, gauges, and procedures.
• Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including regularly standing and walking and regularly lifting or moving up to 30 pounds; assistance is required when lifting over 30 pounds.
• Ability to wear a clean room gown, rubber gloves, and hair or beard covering.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect sheets for defects and immediately notify appropriate individuals if defects are found.
• Follow required procedures to ensure customer orders are completed correctly.
• Verify work instructions.
• Confirm packaging materials and sign off on documentation.
• Apply labels to bags or boxes.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the workstation.
• Maintain good attendance in accordance with company guidelines.
• Follow company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
