About The Position

The E&I Technician/Millwright will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks within the facility. This includes electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, and fabrication skills. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, completion of training, and availability for overtime and emergency call-ins. The position involves physical work, including stooping, bending, climbing, and lifting, and may require travel to other company locations.

Requirements

  • Experience performing electrical tasks including 480 VAC, instrumentation, PLC fundamentals, and electrical drive systems.
  • Experience with masonry, carpentry, and pipefitting (regular and stainless steel).
  • Experience with metal fabrication, welding, lift truck repair, and machinery repair.
  • Experience with rebuilds of refiners, gearboxes, and pumps.
  • Experience with lubrication and compressed air maintenance.
  • Experience with minor machining, micrometers, lathe and/or milling machine operations.
  • Experience with vibration data collection.
  • Experience with blueprint reading and laser shaft alignment.
  • Experience with boiler/steam systems, rigging, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Experience with fire protection systems and paper machine dryer safety/maintenance.
  • Experience with general plumbing and electrical web inspection systems.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical trades.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in industrial or commercial maintenance.
  • Thorough knowledge of Lock out Tag out procedures.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to do work involving considerable stooping, bending, and working on scaffolds.
  • Ability to do work requiring climbing and working at various heights.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience in industrial or commercial electrical trades for a minimum of two years.
  • Understanding of OSHA safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Able to read and follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Familiar with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) standards.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance and repair, including 480 VAC, PLC fundamentals, and electrical drive systems.
  • Maintain and repair instrumentation.
  • Perform masonry, carpentry, and pipefitting (regular and stainless steel).
  • Engage in metal fabrication, welding, and minor machining.
  • Repair and rebuild machinery, including refiners, gearboxes, and pumps.
  • Perform lubrication and compressed air maintenance.
  • Operate lathes and/or milling machines.
  • Collect vibration data.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Perform laser shaft alignment.
  • Maintain boiler/steam systems.
  • Perform rigging and hydraulics/pneumatics.
  • Maintain fire protection systems.
  • Conduct maintenance on paper machine dryers.
  • Perform general plumbing.
  • Inspect web inspection systems.
  • Follow Twin Rivers Paper safety rules and complete required training.
  • Use all required safety equipment.
  • Clean up work areas at the end of each day.
  • Notify supervisor of dangerous situations and document corrective actions.
  • Travel to other TRP mills and offices as required.
  • Further education through training and seminars.
