About The Position

Audubon is currently seeking a Millwright I to join our team in our Off Site Office. The Millwright I perform skilled maintenance, diagnoses, and repairs on industrial machinery and heavy equipment while being in construction sites or live facilities.

Requirements

  • Five years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Must be able to pass client specific safety training.
  • Demonstrated industrial construction/maintenance history experience.
  • Must be able to obtain site and Safety training certifications required for the project.
  • Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and HSE guidelines.
  • Understand load properties of cables, ropes, hoists and chains
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.
  • Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures.
  • Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
  • Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Related trade school education is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Will dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools.
  • Will plan, inspect, verify and document scope of work.
  • Operates engineer lathes, grinders and files.
  • Works with industry-specific and high complex precision machines including but not limited to ball mills, ID fans, lube coil skids, turbines, conveyors, generators, hydraulic systems, pumps, gears, bearings, compressors etc.
  • Uses precision leveling and alignment tools in order to measure angles, material thickness and small distances with calipers, squares, micrometers, optical instruments and other tools.
  • Will fit bearings, align gears and wheels, attach motors and connect belts according to manufacturer’s blueprints and drawings.
  • Fabricates and installs parts, equipment and machinery by measuring, cutting, drilling and/or welding.
  • Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
  • Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
  • Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
  • Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements
