About The Position

Serves as the lead representative for the company at a construction site, directing and coordinating the activities of the Electrical group. Provides management oversight for all phases of the construction project, including coordinating workers, material, and equipment and ensuring that specifications are being followed.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience supervising Heavy Industrial Electrical projects involving a variety of layout, installation, and construction and maintenance tasks
  • Must hold a current Journeyman or Master Electrical License
  • Oil & Gas and Power experience required
  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Possess valid drivers’ license with a good driving record

Responsibilities

  • Overall accountability for job site safety and quality assurance/quality control procedures.
  • Looking ahead to avoid conflicts in timing between crafts.
  • Dealing effectively with employees and various levels of customer representatives in order to resolve scheduling problems, determine work priorities, and assess the relative magnitude of project requirements as they impact project scheduling.
  • Defining and monitoring expected results from each subordinate to ensure achievement relative to work output, quality of work, accidents (both to employees and to equipment) and training.
  • Monitoring daily work progress, and evaluating and counseling subordinates.
  • Keeping current procedures, policies and methods in use each day.
  • Responding to the time pressure exerted in an emergency situation.
  • Conducting performance appraisals and recommending wage adjustments.
  • Discipline including termination when warranted (discussed with Management prior to taking action).
  • Working in operating facilities and observing and abiding by additional safety policies and procedures.
