About The Position

This role involves performing predictive and preventive maintenance duties to troubleshoot and repair defective equipment in a timely manner. The technician will also be responsible for generating work notifications to address any detected issues. The position requires adherence to all safety rules and practices, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and overtime as required. Successful candidates must pass pre-employment testing, a background check, and a drug screening.

Requirements

  • Experience in Electrical & Mechanical Field
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams and blueprints is required
  • Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and overtime as required
  • Formal and on the job training in electrical and basic electronics, AC/DC drives, PLC controllers, basic hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Troubleshooting: Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures and the aptitude to correct those failures

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year vocational training in electrical technology is preferred
  • Corrugated Industry maintenance experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Following all safety rules and practices
  • Perform predictive and preventive maintenance duties to troubleshoot and repair defective equipment in a timely manner
  • Perform predictive and preventive maintenance duties and generate work notifications to address any issues detected
  • Complete work order cycle within SAP; Create orders, perform work, confirm time and enter equipment history
  • Work closely with all team members to ensure each task is completed in a safe and efficient manner
  • Assist other team members in the plant to minimize downtime and maintain quality
  • Make decisions and work with Maintenance and Plant Supervisors in order to complete assigned tasks
