About The Position

The E Commerce Shipper performs shipping duties for the E-Commerce department, including picking, packing, and shipping items sold through ShopGoodWill. The role also involves initiating FedEx claims for lost or damaged goods and routing unsold auction items to the next appropriate area, such as Auction, Outlet, or E-Recycle. The associate may assist E-Commerce Listing Specialists with photography and listing tasks as time allows and as directed by the E-Commerce Project Manager.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. A high school diploma or GED is required, and no previous experience or professional certifications are required. The associate must successfully pass a criminal background check and is not required to drive as part of the job. E-commerce research and listing experience, knowledge of Goodwill product lines, and digital photography skills are preferred.

• E-commerce research and listing experience, or equivalent knowledge from personal online sales experience.
• Knowledge of Goodwill product sales lines, such as music, jewelry, art, electronics, and cameras.
• Knowledge of digital camera use and ability to take acceptable digital photos for online listings.

Responsibilities

• Pull items sold and paid for on ShopGoodWill for shipment.
• Pack items using appropriate shipping materials and a suitably sized box to secure the shipment.
• Use FedEx and ShopGoodWill shipment software to ship orders.
• Meet daily shipment goals.
• Stage packages for daily FedEx pickup and assist drivers with pickup.
• Open FedEx claims for lost or damaged shipments.
• Determine and carry out the next step for unsold items, such as relisting, combining and listing, or moving them to Outlet, Auction, or E-Recycle.
• Assist with photographing and listing items as directed by the E-Commerce Project Manager.
