About The Position

The eCommerce Merchandiser is responsible for the tactical operations and daily maintenance of teamtownsports.com. This role focuses on executing the end-to-end digital product creation process, ensuring site accuracy, and performing routine audits to drive online conversion. The eCommerce Merchandiser supports the eCommerce Manager by performing high-level tactical execution of merchandising initiatives and providing data-driven insights to improve customer experience.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tactical tasks and deliver accurate results within tight deadlines.
  • Foundational ability to analyze data and create insights that improve site performance.
  • Strong focus on building relationships with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and execute projects.
  • A positive and resilient attitude when navigating technical challenges or shifting business priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field of study.
  • 1–3 years of experience in eCommerce merchandising or digital operations.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), Shopify, or similar eCommerce backend systems.
  • Exposure to Google Analytics, PowerBi, and PIM systems.
  • Basic understanding of SEO/SEM best practices for product-level optimization.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model, with 4 days a week in the corporate office in Vaughn, Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the end-to-end digital product creation process, ensuring all items are launched accurately, are transactable, and optimized for high sell-through.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure website and item accuracy, investigating issues and implementing solutions to maintain internal compliance.
  • Utilize Microsoft D365, PIM, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) to manage product data, PDP views, and customer experiences.
  • Support "website flips" through merchandising initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery and proper product categorization.
  • Develop and optimize product titles, images, descriptions, and metadata aligning with SEO best practices to prioritize discoverability.
  • Assist in digitally enhancing the customer journey by maintaining visual and functional category pages.
  • Monitor key metrics such as conversion rates and PDP views using Google Analytics and PowerBi to report on customer demand.
  • Assist in identifying gaps in the current assortment and provide recommendations for site improvements.
  • Participate in and lead assigned tactical projects focused on site enhancements or new merchandising initiatives.
