About The Position

This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all e-commerce areas to ensure listing and shipment goals are met and issues are communicated and resolved in a timely manner. The role involves managing and delivering the highest level of customer service, inspecting listings for accuracy, appraising and pricing inventory, and ensuring e-commerce personnel follow loss prevention policies. The E-Commerce Manager also works with store managers to ensure an adequate supply of merchandise for e-commerce sales, trains staff, and recommends improvements for processing inventory. They maintain supply inventory, ensure equipment is in working order, and supervise staff by preparing work schedules and assigning duties. The role oversees the quality of goods, trains and evaluates e-commerce staff, prepares payroll, and manages the e-commerce budget for revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures. Administrative duties, including submitting paperwork and reports, are also required. The manager maintains current knowledge of retail and online sales trends, hosts staff meetings, and collects data on online media sales. They must meet and exceed industry standards for customer service, prepare reports for Senior Management, and ensure housekeeping, safety, and security are maintained. The position assists in creating policies and procedures, contributes to the organization's effectiveness as a management team member, ensures HIPAA compliance, and is responsible for the safety of persons served and staff. CARF compliance and maintaining standards are also key responsibilities, along with implementing CARF standards and following professional ethics. Confidentiality of privileged information is essential, and other related duties may be assigned.

  • Associate’s degree.
  • Two years supervisory work experience in a retail setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Creates a positive public image of Goodwill through its online presence and communications.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of all e-commerce areas to ensure listing and shipment goals are met and issues are communicated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that expenses are controlled as outlined in the budget.
  • Manages and delivers timely and highest level of customer service with any online or in-person inquiries.
  • Inspects listings to ensure accuracy of descriptions, correct spelling and grammar, quality photos and any necessary information to maximize the listing potential value.
  • Appraises and prices inventory with the goal of extracting the greatest monetary value from all donated goods.
  • Ensures that all e-commerce personnel understand and follow Goodwill’s loss prevention policies.
  • Works with store managers and pre-processing to ensure adequate supply of merchandise provided for e-commerce sales and trains to identify items that would be more appropriately marketed through e-commerce channel.
  • Maintains a positive, team-oriented relationship with all staff and departments.
  • Recommends new or improved methods, techniques and procedures for processing inventory more efficiently.
  • Maintains supply inventory by monitoring inventory levels, anticipating needed supplies and ordering and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Ensures the proper maintenance of all facility equipment, utilities, machinery and electrical equipment is in proper working order.
  • Supervises, plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties; ensures accountability for all employees.
  • Oversees quality of goods going on e-commerce sites.
  • Trains, evaluates, supervises and mentors e-commerce staff and persons served in procedures and policies etc.
  • Prepares and submits payroll records in a timely manner.
  • Budget revenue, expense and capital expenditures for e-commerce annually.
  • Completes required administrative and clerical duties, including submitting paperwork and reports accurately, and within the established time frame.
  • Performs work of e-commerce staff as defined in the job description as needed.
  • Maintains current working knowledge of trends in retail and online sales.
  • Hosts regular staff meetings to ensure communication among staff regarding department related activities.
  • Collect data reflective of online media sales, including, but not limited to: sales volume on all markets, inventory received, inventory aging, inventory on hand, shipping, material costs and any other direct costs and expenditures.
  • Meet and exceed industry standards for customer service.
  • Create and prepare reports for Senior Management.
  • Ensure that housekeeping, safety, and security is maintained, reporting all needed repairs, problems and/or hazards immediately.
  • Assist in the creation of policies, practices and procedures for staff to ensure consistency and adherence to department goals.
  • Contributes to the organization's effectiveness by offering information and opinion as a member of the management team; integrating objectives with other functions; accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensures HIPAA compliance.
  • Responsible for the safety of all persons served and staff under his/her supervision.
  • Responsible for CARF compliance and maintaining standards in areas of responsibility.
  • Implements CARF standards into all programs and follows professional ethics as set in the Code of Conduct/Business Ethics policy.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
  • Directly supervises employees in the assigned store/facility.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
