About The Position

Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake is seeking an E-Commerce Associate – Building Sets & Collectibles to support the processing and online sale of LEGO® sets, building toys, collectibles, and related merchandise through our e-commerce operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, research, inventory management, and working with collectible items. The E-Commerce Associate is responsible for identifying, sorting, researching, photographing, and preparing merchandise for online sale while ensuring high standards of accuracy, quality, and presentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable handling LEGO sets, minifigures, collectible items, and specialty merchandise in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum six months of experience in e-commerce, retail, inventory management, collectibles, resale, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to identify, categorize, and research collectible merchandise
  • Comfortable using computers, databases, and online research tools
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
  • Commitment to achieving daily production and quality standards

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LEGO® products, toy collectibles, product photography, or online sales preferred
  • Experience with eBay, online marketplaces, inventory systems, or listing platforms is a plus
  • Interest in LEGO®, collectibles, toys, gaming, or hobby products preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort, organize, and process LEGO® sets, bulk lots, minifigures, accessories, and related collectibles
  • Identify and separate sets, specialty pieces, minifigures, and components according to established procedures
  • Inspect merchandise for completeness, condition, damage, missing pieces, wear, discoloration, and other factors affecting value
  • Organize, label, store, and maintain inventory for efficient retrieval and fulfillment
  • Research products to identify set numbers, themes, minifigures, components, and market information
  • Create accurate online listings including titles, descriptions, categories, condition details, quantities, and photographs
  • Ensure all listings accurately represent the merchandise being offered for sale
  • Identify and correct product or inventory discrepancies as needed
  • Prepare merchandise for online sale through sorting, cleaning, organizing, labeling, bagging, and packaging
  • Photograph products according to established quality and presentation standards
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy across all online listings
  • Assist with locating, pulling, and preparing sold merchandise for shipment
  • Handle merchandise carefully to prevent loss, damage, inventory mix-ups, or misidentification
  • Meet established quality, accuracy, productivity, and processing goals
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and leadership to support department objectives
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
