About The Position

The E-Coat Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of the electro-coating system. Other required tasks daily chemistry of bath checks, ensure correct parameters are aligned with material running into the system, identify and correct faults, start up and shut down system.

Requirements

  • Basic PC/PLC and electronic controls knowledge.
  • Moderate computer, math, and reading skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment and processes.
  • Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly.
  • Ability to communicate with leadership and fellow team members in both written and verbal forms at a level above standard.
  • Must be team oriented.
  • Ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Three years’ experience in automotive manufacturing (preferably in an e-coat department)
  • D Licensed wastewater operator or better.
  • High School Diploma/GED or certification program in equivalent field

Responsibilities

  • Full operation of the E-Coat system, including HMI screen functions to meet production requirements.
  • Process unibodies and doors through the buffer, pre-treatment, e-coat and rinse tanks.
  • Starting/stopping ovens, motors etc…
  • Some electrical, mechanical, and programming troubleshooting.
  • Check, sample, test, and record information and adjust the chemical baths within the e-coat system.
