The E&C Engineer supports wind farm operations as a capital engineer, project manager, and project lead. The role manages reliability and capital projects, coordinates fleet initiatives across 16 wind farms in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa, and supports project financial management, scheduling, planning, contractor coordination, documentation, and execution. The primary technical focus is mechanical and electrical equipment failures and related projects. This is an individual-contributor position with substantial cross-functional coordination among operations managers, reliability engineers, purchasing and project-controls personnel, accounting support, plant operators and supervisors, internal and external engineers, and contractors. There are no direct reports. Both planned and emergent capital projects are assigned, and some projects may span multiple years. The estimated ramp-up period is three to six months to become familiar with processes, procedures, purchasing, project-management practices, and project-execution workflows. The position is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a hybrid schedule requiring office attendance Tuesday through Thursday. Travel to wind farm sites is required, primarily for day trips, with mileage reimbursed according to client guidelines. Work includes visits to operating facilities and construction sites, where employees may encounter rotating equipment, rough terrain, and potential proximity to confined spaces. Facilities may not be fully handicapped accessible; site-specific safety training, including lockout/tagout procedures, is provided.
