About The Position

The Electronic Banking Card Specialist, Sr serves as a subject matter expert for debit cards, credit cards, and card disputes. All duties of the Electronic Banking Card Specialist, Sr will adhere to federal regulations and serves customers through other banking professionals. This role will be the primary resource for customer/lending issues and resolutions.

Requirements

  • High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 19 to 23 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
  • Intermediate: 10-Key, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing
  • Must possess a demonstrated ability to navigate various software
  • Must possess strong communication skills and good documentation/organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as accomplish work assignments under minimal supervision and sometimes tight schedules
  • Excellent customer service skills and a minimum of two years of related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with card systems a plus
  • Experience with FIS systems a plus

Responsibilities

  • Receive and respond to internal queues of front office requests, which includes tickets, emails, phone calls, letters, and various card applications.
  • Work directly with departmental systems, lenders/retail, and customers to resolve card issues, errors, and fraud.
  • Process, reconcile, and balance day-to-day card transactions.
  • Resolve cardholder issues in coordination with front line staff and customers.
  • Adhere to all federal regulations including Regulation E and UDAAP.
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Complete required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
