About The Position

The Boeing Company's Defense, Space & Security division is seeking E-7A Systems Engineers to join their team in Tukwila, WA. This role supports the development of new capabilities for the E-7A Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) platform, which is designed to track multiple airborne and maritime targets and provide situational awareness. The position involves working across multiple E-7A programs in a dynamic environment and is open to Engineers with a broad range of experience levels, including Experienced or Lead level Engineers. The role requires a multi-discipline skill set focused on building a systems engineering baseline, problem-solving, integrating across teams, and leading solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 3+ years of experience in system engineering, including system architecture, requirements and interface development and allocation, verification and validation.
  • Experience creating MBSE systems models in Cameo, Magic Systems of Systems Architect (MSOSA), or similar software.
  • Experience with requirements validation and verification.
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
  • The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).

Nice To Haves

  • Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with military platforms.
  • Technical knowledge of aircraft, mission and ground systems for military platforms.
  • Experience with Interface Controls Documents and Functional Schematics.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and create plans for executing on deliverables.
  • Experience in interface development and documentation.
  • Experience in risk, issue, and opportunity management.
  • Experience in Airworthiness and Certification (including FAA, EASA, Military).
  • INCOSE Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Create physical, operational, logical, and functional architectures, and develop the interdependencies of these architectures.
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Evaluates customer and/or operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
  • Develops the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes.
  • Develops the planning and execution of requirements-based verification.
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
