The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) sustains the Army’s mission to develop, acquire, field, and sustain ground combat, tactical, and support systems throughout their lifecycle. The program focuses on ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and safety of automotive and ground support equipment critical to Army operations. Under this contract, personnel provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, and sustainment support in accordance with Army technical manuals, safety standards, and performance requirements. The Inspector, Dyno Operator performs inspection, testing, and certification of motor vehicles using dynamometer (dyno) systems following maintenance, repair, or rebuild actions. This role combines advanced motor vehicle mechanical expertise with dyno operation and inspection authority to ensure vehicles meet required performance, safety, and quality standards prior to acceptance and return to service. This position is classified one grade above Motor Vehicle Mechanic due to dyno qualification requirements, independent judgment, and responsibility for inspection sign‑off and acceptance decisions. This position is contingent upon award.
