About The Position

As a Dyno Failure Repair Technician, you are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and verifying failed transmission units identified during the Dyno testing process. You play a critical role in ensuring ETE REMAN delivers the highest quality and most reliable transmissions in the industry by identifying the root cause of failures, performing accurate repairs, and documenting findings that support continuous improvement efforts. Working closely with the Dyno, Production, Quality, and Engineering teams, you help reduce warranty claims and improve manufacturing processes through detailed analysis and high-quality workmanship. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience rebuilding, repairing, or diagnosing automatic transmissions preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of transmission operation and repair.
Ability to interpret Dyno test data, technical specifications, measurements, and production documentation.
Experience using hand tools, air tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment (employee must provide basic hand tools).
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional departments.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks throughout an 8+ hour shift.
Willingness to work with oils, lubricants, cleaning chemicals, and other shop materials.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, inspect, and repair transmission units that fail Dyno testing.
Perform root cause analysis to determine the source of transmission failures and recommend corrective actions.
Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble transmission units according to company processes and quality standards.
Verify repaired units meet quality specifications before returning them for Dyno retesting.
Utilize company computer systems to document repair findings, failure analysis, and completed repairs.
Review Dyno test results, warranty information, and production records to assist in diagnosing transmission concerns.
Communicate recurring failure trends and critical quality concerns to supervisors and management.
Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Build Process teams to improve manufacturing processes and product reliability.
Assist with quality inspections and provide feedback that supports continuous improvement initiatives.
Help train new technicians on repair procedures, quality expectations, and department processes.
Maintain department tools, equipment, and workstations in clean, safe, and organized condition.
Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures.
Support production activities when department workload allows.
