About The Position

Develop new applications and support existing applications used by Bright Horizons internal users, external clients, and client employees. Translate business and technical requirements into business systems through a variety of methods. Design system enhancements and business process changes that promote best practices and improve staff efficiency, accuracy, and data usefulness. Work with outside vendors in a shared development environment and collaborate with Application Support, QA, and development teams to support application issues, changes, and modifications. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite work three days per week at the Newton, Massachusetts office.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or at least three additional years of experience in lieu of the applicable degree.
At least three years of related work experience in .NET web application development and/or Microsoft Dynamics development using technologies such as plugins, Power Automate, and JavaScript.
Experience developing in D365 using configuration, customizations, JavaScript, plugins, and Power Automate.
Strong communication skills and comfort working with diverse user groups at all organizational levels.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, including the ability to analyze problems, document needs, and communicate them to varied audiences.
Ability to understand business requirements across functional areas and adapt to new or changing information.
Ability to prioritize competing demands and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in a virtual collaborative environment.
Ability to write clean HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Skill using Microsoft SQL Server, writing optimized SQL, and following relational database best practices.
Ability to maintain and improve existing codebases, with attention to performance, scalability, and user experience.
Familiarity with Scrum or Agile methodologies.
Strong customer-service skills and philosophy; ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-up skills.
Willingness to take on new projects; self-motivated, results-driven, and goal-oriented, with comfort setting and exceeding aggressive goals.

Nice To Haves

ASP.NET MVC framework experience.
jQuery experience.
Entity Framework experience.
Experience supporting Dynamics-based applications in an L2/L3 support capacity.

Responsibilities

Help ensure newly implemented systems and processes support project success and meet business needs.
Provide the manager with development progress updates and feedback.
Provide project managers and teams with updates about schedules and issues.
Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations tailored to the intended audience.
Resolve issues or escalate them in a timely manner.
