The Dynamic Environments (DE) technology defines and verifies the high frequency shock, vibration, and acoustic environments for all launch vehicle and ground system components and payload. These environments can be derived from various vibro-acoustic modeling methods, industry standard, and in-house methodologies and analysis techniques using data accumulated from flight measurement and ground test data. Statistical enveloping techniques are applied to analysis/flight/test data to derive design, qualification and acceptance criteria for vehicle and payload hardware. The Dynamic Environments technology also defines and verifies specific component test requirements, develops, and maintains data acquisition systems used for environments measurement, and supports anomaly identification and resolution. The successful candidate will have responsibilities in Vibro-acoustic, Modeling & Software Development responsible for FEA/SEA modeling development, evolution and maintenance and model correlation to test and/or flight data. In addition to one of the above Roles, this position includes the following responsibilities: Perform acoustic, shock, and vibration analyses utilizing all methods from above. Engage in critical thinking and drive decision making processes. Develop, document, and maintain processes, methods, and tools. Guide and resolve technical and programmatic issues that affect cost, schedule, and performance. Generate analysis reports and present results effectively to internal and external customers. Support component shock, acoustic and vibration testing, including pretest environment derivation and post test validation. Process and analyze flight data to develop updates to analysis methodologies.
