About The Position

Develop new color formulas and create a standard color card. Troubleshoot processing issues, and repair colors that are off shade. Improve and document process methods including housekeeping and safety within the department. Quality control color matches to defined standards using either a light booth or a spectrometer.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in a manufacturing environment with experience in inventory control.
  • Ability to discriminate color shades and obtain an acceptable score on the color discrimination test.
  • To print and read dispatch reports.
  • Able to be trained to use and interpret results obtained from the color Spectrophotometer.
  • To operate powered lift trucks including scissor, fork, and powered hand trucks.
  • Willing to travel between Manchester and Somersworth.
  • Able to read, comprehend, and apply all control plans, operating procedures, and working instructions.
  • Maintain or exceed work standards which will be reviewed at regular intervals.
  • Complete multiple tasks simultaneously by organization, prioritization, and time management.

Responsibilities

  • Commitment to Safety: Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. Promotes a culture of safety within the organization by leading by example and encouraging others to prioritize safety. Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and contributes to the investigation process. Active participation in safety-related programs and initiatives is required as necessary. This includes involvement in the safety committee on a rotating schedule, as well as participation in Risk Assessments, Exposure Hunts, department inspections, and change management activities. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
  • Scan samples using the color Spectrophotometer for shade verification.
  • Release travelers for further processing into Napping and Coating or disposition as appropriate.
  • Scan samples on the color Spectrophotometer to evaluate NIR and release information to Quality Control.
  • Provide support to customer’s samples collection prior to release for shipping.
  • Provide support for US Governmental program samples collection prior to release for shipping.
  • Verify that the production equipment is functioning properly.
  • Generate maintenance work orders to repair any malfunctioning equipment.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Full time presence required
  • Ability and willingness to be cross trained in any other functions as required or requested.
  • Excellent attendance required.
  • Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.
