About The Position

Third Future Schools is seeking a DYAD Mixed Martial Arts Elective Consultant to lead engaging elective classes for students at SOUTH ELEMENTARY in MIDLAND,TX. This role is part of the DYAD program, which bridges the gap between classroom learning and community-based expertise by bringing in individuals with real-world knowledge to provide students with meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities. The consultant will provide an experience through their expertise in Mixed Martial Arts, aiming to build students' critical thinking, communication, creativity, confidence, self-expression, problem-solving skills, and habits of success.

Requirements

Skill, knowledge, and first-hand experience in Mixed Martial Arts or a related field.
Ability to work effectively with students in a school setting.
Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills.
Ability to provide structured, engaging, and experience-based learning.
Commitment to professionalism, consistency, and student engagement.

Responsibilities

Provide engaging, structured, and experience-based instruction in Mixed Martial Arts.
Develop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teach.
Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program.
Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment.
Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period.
Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations.
Ensure students are participating in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership.
Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction.
Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences.
Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program.
Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through showcases, presentations, displays, or other demonstrations of learning.
