About The Position

Third Future Schools, a high-achieving charter school network, is seeking a DYAD Mixed Martial Arts Consultant for Southern Hills Elementary in Wichita Falls, TX. This role will lead engaging elective classes for students as part of the DYAD Electives program, which focuses on building 21st-century skills through hands-on learning. The DYAD program connects classroom learning with community-based expertise, bringing in individuals with real-world knowledge to provide meaningful learning opportunities. The consultant will offer an experience through their expertise, helping students build skills such as creativity, confidence, self-expression, problem-solving, and habits of success through martial arts instruction.

Requirements

Skill, knowledge, and first-hand experience in mixed martial arts or a related field.

Responsibilities

Provide engaging, structured, and experience-based instruction in mixed martial arts.
Develop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teach.
Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program.
Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment.
Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period.
Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations.
Ensure students are participating in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership.
Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction.
Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences.
Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program.
Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through martial arts showcases, presentations, displays, or other demonstrations of learning.
