About The Position

Third Future Schools, a growing network of charter schools, is seeking a DYAD Media Consultant for its SOUTH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in MIDLAND,TX. This role involves leading engaging elective classes for students using the DYAD Electives model, which focuses on building 21st-century skills through hands-on, experiential learning. Students will participate in various enrichment experiences, including technology, fitness, and arts, with this position specifically focused on media instruction.

Requirements

Skill, knowledge, and first-hand experience in media, communications, digital content, broadcasting, or a related field.
Ability to work effectively with students in a school setting.
Strong communication, organization, and classroom leadership skills.
Ability to provide structured, engaging, and experience-based learning.
Commitment to professionalism, consistency, and student engagement.

Responsibilities

Provide engaging, structured, and experience-based instruction in media.
Develop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teach.
Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program.
Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment.
Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period.
Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations.
Ensure students are participating in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership.
Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction.
Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences.
Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program.
Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through media showcases, presentations, displays, screenings, or other demonstrations of learning.
