About The Position

Third Future Schools is seeking a DYAD ELECTIVE DANCE Consultant to lead engaging elective classes for students at SOUTH ELEMENTARY in MIDLAND,TX. This role is part of the DYAD program, which connects classroom learning with community-based expertise to provide students with meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities. DYAD consultants bring real-world knowledge and first-hand experience to bridge the gap between the classroom and the community, focusing on building critical thinking, communication, creativity, and other essential 21st-century skills. The consultant will provide an experience through their expertise, helping students build leadership, confidence, professionalism, and habits of success while preparing them for future goals and career exploration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engaging, structured, and experience-based instruction in college and career readiness.
  • Develop and provide their own curriculum aligned to the elective they teach.
  • Independently plan, lead, and manage a class that reflects both their expertise and the expectations of the DYAD program.
  • Create a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment.
  • Actively teach, monitor, and engage students throughout the class period.
  • Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school expectations.
  • Ensure students are participating in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
  • Communicate professionally with campus staff and leadership.
  • Be prepared, consistent, and dependable in daily instruction.
  • Use their expertise to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences.
  • Contribute positively to the culture of the school and the integrity of the DYAD program.
  • Create opportunities for parents and families to see and celebrate what students have accomplished through class showcases, presentations, or other demonstrations of learning.
