About The Position
Walkertown Veterinary Hospital is seeking compassionate, team-oriented, and communicative 1st through 4th-year veterinary students for an externship program. This program offers students the opportunity to enhance their education through real-world experiences in a full-service hospital that provides the highest standard of veterinary care. The hospital utilizes the latest in veterinary medicine, equipment, and technology, including a state-of-the-art facility with an in-house laboratory, digital radiology, a modern surgical suite capable of complex procedures, and a Class IV therapy laser. The externship is located in Walkertown, North Carolina, a rural area outside of Winston-Salem known for its local restaurants, culture, history, and outdoor activities.
Requirements
- Must be a DVM Veterinary Student from an AVMA Accredited Institution.
- Compassionate, Team Player and Strong Communicator.
