About The Position
PriorityPet Urgent Care of Germantown is seeking 1st through 4th year veterinary students for an externship opportunity. This role offers hands-on experience in surgery, internal medicine, and urgent care, with a strong emphasis on mentorship from experienced veterinarians. The externship is designed to enhance a student's education through real-world experiences in a state-of-the-art facility. The clinic is available for urgent care needs 7 days a week from 2pm to 10pm.
Requirements
- Must be an active veterinary student from an AVMA accredited institution.
- Must be a compassionate, team player, and strong communicator.

Responsibilities
- Gain surgical experience including C-sections, cystotomies, and foreign body removals.
- Gain internal medicine experience with conditions such as pancreatitis, protein-losing enteropathy, and acute hemo-destructive syndrome.
- Gain urgent care experience with cases like dog bites, hit-by-car incidents, and snake bites.
- Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced veterinarians.
