DVM Student Externship - Northridge Animal Medical Center
About The Position
Northridge Animal Medical Center (NAMC) is seeking compassionate, team-oriented, and communicative veterinary students from 1st through 4th year to participate in an externship program. This program offers students the opportunity to enhance their education through real-world experiences in a full-service small animal general practice. NAMC provides progressive, compassionate, and affordable veterinary care, utilizing cutting-edge equipment and offering a wide range of services including wellness care, urgent care, general surgery, orthopedic procedures, dentistry, acupuncture, and chiropractic care. The facility boasts an Idexx in-house lab, digital imaging (whole body and dental), and a cold therapy laser. NAMC strives to maintain a friendly and cohesive working environment where the team feels like family and clients are treated as friends. The externship is located in Northridge, CA, an area known for its natural beauty and proximity to attractions like Universal Studios, as well as various shopping centers, restaurants, museums, and performing arts centers.
Requirements
- Must be an active veterinary student from an AVMA accredited institution.
- Compassionate, team player, and strong communicator.
