Bond Vet is offering a DVM Student Externship Program for 3rd- and 4th-year veterinary students. This program provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced, mentorship-driven clinic environment. Externs will work directly with patients, assist with procedures, observe surgeries, and engage with pet parents under the guidance of experienced doctors and veterinary teams. The program aims to help students sharpen their skills, explore clinical interests, and grow as future veterinarians. The externship involves exposure to urgent care cases and routine wellness scenarios, with mentorship from experienced doctors. Key activities include client communication, observing treatment plan development, reviewing medical records, performing physical exams, assisting with treatments (medications, fluids), placing urinary catheters, drawing blood, assisting in procedures/surgeries, and observing laboratory tests. This is a for-credit externship, and students are responsible for their own accommodation and transportation. The specific clinic will be assigned during the interview process.
