About The Position

Westside Elementary is seeking a Duty Monitor to provide supervision in the cafeteria for all grade levels during breakfast and lunch. The role also involves assisting with morning car rider duty and other duties as assigned by the building principal. The Duty Monitor will be responsible for alerting teachers to any student issues and maintaining the same ethical standards and confidentiality as licensed teachers. Participation in assigned inservice training is also required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to supervise students effectively
• Good communication skills
• Maintain confidentiality

• Previous experience in a school setting
• Experience with student supervision

Responsibilities

• Provide daily cafeteria supervision for all grade levels (breakfast and lunch)
• Assist with morning car rider duty
• Assist with any other duty needs as deemed necessary by building principal
• Alerts the regular teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student
• Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as expected of fully licensed teachers
• Participates in inservice training, as assigned
