About The Position

NBCUniversal is seeking a Duopoly Content Producer for NBC10 & Telemundo62 Philadelphia. This role involves producing, writing, and editing content in both English and Spanish across broadcast, digital, and social platforms. The producer will line-produce newscasts or content streams, build rundowns, and ensure smooth execution. Collaboration with assignment desks, reporters, anchors, managers, and digital teams is crucial for planning and delivering daily coverage. The position requires writing clear, accurate, and engaging scripts, headlines, and copy tailored for multilingual audiences, as well as translating and adapting content to maintain accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance. The producer will contribute story ideas, participate in editorial meetings, monitor breaking news, and adjust content in real time. Video editing and graphic incorporation to enhance storytelling are also key responsibilities. A strong awareness of local and national news, with a deep understanding of the Philadelphia market, and adherence to journalistic standards for accuracy, fairness, and credibility are essential.

Requirements

• Must be bilingual with fluency in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Proven ability to write, edit, and produce content under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and editorial standards
• Willingness to join AFTRA as this position may be covered by the AFTRA collective bargaining agreement
• Experience line-producing newscasts
• Experience editing content on a desktop editing system
• Ability to make priority decisions under a deadline
• Strong ability to deliver news as it is developing on all platforms
• Team player mentality

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with assignment desk, reporters, anchors, managers, and digital teams to plan and deliver daily coverage
• Write clear, accurate, and engaging scripts, headlines, and copy that connect with multilingual audiences
• Translate and adapt content to maintain accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance
• Contribute story ideas and participate in editorial meetings, helping shape coverage decisions
• Monitor breaking news and adjust rundowns and scripts in real time, maintaining composure in high-pressure situations
• Edit video and incorporate graphics to enhance storytelling across platforms
• Maintain strong awareness of local and national news, with a deep understanding of the Philadelphia market
• Ensure all content meets journalistic standards for accuracy, fairness, and credibility
